Mr. Dale Branson Pierce, Sr., 65, of Sophia, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Flint Hill Community Church, in Sophia, officiated by Rev. Mike Adams. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Born July 10, 1952, in Guilford County to John Boyd Pierce and Norma Colleen Kanoy Pierce. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, John Boyd Pierce, Jr. and Michael Pierce. Dale is survived by two children, Dale Branson Pierce, Jr. and wife, Staci, of Hampstead, and Bambi Pierce Mabe and husband Skip, of Asheboro; his mother, Norma Canoy Pierce; his companion, Shirley Cook; four grandchildren, Hailey Sidberry and husband, Kade, Dakota Hunt, Trey Pierce, and Taylor Pierce; three great grandchildren, Bentley Greene, Haven Eddins, and Ariat Sidberry; and two sisters, Danese Pierce and Beverly Pierce.
Great Great Grandmother is Elizabeth Briles Robbins.
