Emma Mae Byerly, 88, passed Tuesday, March 08, 2011, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Lexington City Cemetery; Rev. Derek Boggs officiating. Born April 8, 1922, in Davidson County, to Edward Cleveland Byerly and Betty Chloe Aderholdt Byerly. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, James E. Byerly; and sister, Helen Frances Byerly. Surviving are brother, Manly Byerly and wife, Norma, of Lexington; uncle, Dr. Mark Aderholdt of Thomasville; and a niece Betty Ann Byerly.
