TRINITY-Bettie Sue Smith Lawrence, 82, of Trinity, passed Saturday, November 12, 2011, at High Point Regional Cancer Center. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 16th, at 2 pm in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Pastor Danny Bank officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 pm Wednesday, prior to the service. Born in Davidson County, on September 21, 1929, a daughter to the late Fred Eugene and Lillian Beck Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wesley Lawrence, Jr. Surviving are two daughters, Pamela Lawrence Spencer and husband, Doug and B.J. Lawrence; two sons, Charles Wesley Lawrence, III and wife, Debbie and Kimball Lee Lawrence; a brother, Jarrell Smith; two sisters, Martha Pennington and Julia Burgess; and a granddaughter, Melanie Litton and many friends.
