Erman Eugene Black, 76, a resident of Tabernacle Church Rd., died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the Hospice Home at High Point. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Myra Ward-Brown and Rev. Craig O'Hara officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Born on April 27, 1937 in Randolph County to James Lee Black and Nannie Alma Briles Black. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Fallie Lou Hooks Black on May 23, 1983, whom he married January 29, 1955; sister, Kathleen Mabe; brother, James Black; and two grandsons, Donnie Nance and Steve Deatherage. Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Coleman and husband Robert of the home, and Teresa Nance and husband Billy of Lexington; one grandson, Ricky Nance of Polkton, NC; and one great-granddaughter, Skylar Nance.
