Martha Imogene McDowell Ridge, 85, of Denton, NC, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at her home. Wake: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Pleasant Union Community Church with Rev. Danny Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery A native of Randolph County, NC, born October 12, 1928 the daughter of the late Martha Tryphenia Pierce McDowell and Eli Lenville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Lee Ridge, three sisters and five brothers. Survived by her daughters, Dianne Gray and husband, Terry, of Asheboro, NC, Joanne Ritter and husband, Levis, of Ramseur, NC, Susan Moore and husband, Conley, of Franklinville, NC; son, Dennis Ridge and wife, Sandra, of Asheboro, NC; sister, Vida Swaney, of Thomasville, NC; brother, Casper McDowell, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Dwayne Ritter, Tina Yates, Scott Gray, Rob Moore, Steven Moore; step-granddaughters, Angie Winslow, Amy McDonald; five great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
