Mrs. Dorothy Louise Parrish Long Duck, age 92, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020 in the Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted, Monday, March 9, 2020 at 1:30 PM in Grace Lutheran Church in Thomasville, NC with Rev. Cassie Overcash officiating. The interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. There will not be a formal visitation and Mrs. Duck will remain at J. C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until the hour prior to the service.
Born September 25, 1927 in Davidson County, NC the daughter of the late Sidney Parrish and Claudia Everhart Parrish. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph L. Long; her daughter, Priscilla D. Freedle and a sister, Polly Parrish Hickernell. Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl Long Keene and husband Thomas of Greensboro, NC; her son, Everette Duck, Jr. of Lexington, NC; two grandchildren, Chad Freedle of Lexington, NC and Shannon Doby of High Point, NC; two great - grandchildren, Samantha Doby and Jamey Passmore.
Mrs. Duck's great grandmother is Elizabeth Briles Robbins.
