Mrs. Elizabeth (Lizzy) Kay Kindley Lilly, 61, of Thomasville, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at the Hospice Home at High Point. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Mitchel Hayworth officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Church Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home on Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
She was born on November 1, 1962 in Davidson County, Denton, NC to Albert Clemon Kindley, Sr. and Dorothy Alline Miller Kindley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Jennifer Midkiff; her brothers, Albert (AC) Kindley, Jr. and Darryl Kindley; and her step-son, Dakota Van Lilly.
On September 6, 2008, she married Rodney Van Lilly, who survives of the home; also surviving is her daughter, Ashley Midkiff (Johnny Todd); her sisters, Brenda Blanchard (Tommy), Barbara Riffe (Marcus), Sylvia York (Darrell), Irene Land, and Donna Tansey (Gerry); her brother, James Kindley; 6 grandchildren, Joe, Eve, Tyler, Destiny, Xavier, and Dakota; 1 great-grandson, Desmond; sisters-in-law, Linda Kindley and Tammy Snow; father-in-law, Van Lilly, Jr. (Linda); brother-in-law, Terry Lilly (Lori) and numerous nieces and nephews.
