Ruth Jane Small Surratt, age 90, of Trinity died Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Randolph Hospice House. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Pierce's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, Ross Wood Rd., Trinity with Elder Ted Morton and Rev. Johnny Ray Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro. Born on March 6, 1923 in Trinity, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.O. Small. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Edward Surratt. Survived by her son, Edward "Eddie" Surratt, Jr. and his wife Sheila of Trinity; granddaughter, Michelle Surratt Sarvis and her husband Mike of Trinity; great grandson, Justin Woody of Trinity; and sister, Lois Jordan of Greensboro.
