Ms. Hazel Hulin Hoover, 94, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the Health Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday, Dec. 22 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Junior Summey and Rev. Eddie Hill presiding. Interment will follow at Piney Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Born on December 11, 1923 in Davidson County to Percy Watson Hulin and Josephine Briles Hulin. She was a member of High Rock Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Harlan Hoover; daughter-in-law, Betty Hoover; brothers, Clayton, Thomas, and Billy Hulin; sisters, Virgie Hulin and Edna Pennington. She is survived by sons, Kenneth Hoover (Kay) of Lexington, Reece Hoover of Denton, and Phil Hoover (Brenna) of Trinity; daughters, Barbara Lambeth of Denton, Gail Smith (Rodney) of Gibsonville, and Vickie Atkins (Tony) of Lexington; brothers, Jesse Bud Hulin and Terry Hulin both of Lexington; sister, Lucy Noah of Welcome; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
